Itinerary of 4 Days Aswan to Luxor

Day 1: Welcome Aboard Sky Sail – Begin Your Journey of Elegance

As you arrive in Aswan (preferably by 9:00 AM), our warm and attentive Sky Sail team will be waiting to greet you with signature hospitality. Whether you’re arriving at the airport or being picked up from your hotel, your journey begins with comfort and care.

Morning: Explore the Highlights of Aswan

  • Start with a guided visit to the Aswan High Dam, a feat of modern engineering with sweeping views of Lake Nasser.
  • Continue with a scenic boat ride to the Temple of Philae, beautifully relocated to Agilkia Island and dedicated to the goddess Isis.

Afternoon: Embarkation & Kom Ombo

After your Aswan exploration, you’ll board the elegant Sky Sail Dahabiya and settle into your suite as we begin our journey on the Nile.

  • Enjoy a leisurely sail towards Kom Ombo.
  • Visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, honoring both Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus the Elder. The symmetrical design and riverbank setting make this a photographer’s dream.

Day 2: Hidden Quarries & Ancient Temples

Morning: Gebel El Silsila

  • Step back in time at Gebel El Silsila, an ancient sandstone quarry and sacred site.
  • Wander through rock-cut shrines, unfinished monuments, and majestic Nile views once reserved for Pharaohs.

Afternoon: Temple of Edfu

  • Continue sailing toward Edfu.
  • On arrival, take a traditional horse-drawn carriage (caleche) through the town to visit the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s most preserved and awe-inspiring temples.

Afterward, return to your floating sanctuary. Enjoy golden hour on deck or unwind in the lounge with tea and sweets.
